Roger answers come from a knowledge base created and reviewed by our Henry Ford Health nephrology care team - nurses, dietitians, and doctors who specialize in kidney care. This knowledge is aligned with current, nephrology-approved clinical guidelines, not general internet sources. Before answering, RogerCare checks its response against this approved knowledge base, and if something falls outside that trusted information, RogerCare will say so rather than guess. The goal is real guidance, in plain language, that's concise and easy to trust.
RogerCare is here to help you understand dialysis and kidney health — it doesn't replace your care team and should never be used to make medical decisions. Like any AI, RogerCare can occasionally get things wrong, so always check with your doctor or nurse before making decisions about your treatment.
Yes - you can select and change your preferred language in your account settings at any time. The RogerCare app is available in English and Spanish, and the chat itself will automatically match the language you use when asking a question.
Everything you share with RogerCare — including your personal information — is stored and processed in a secure, encrypted, HIPAA-compliant form, so your health details stay protected. If you use voice chat, your voice recordings themselves aren't stored, and your conversations are never used to train AI models. You'll review and confirm exactly how your data is used during onboarding.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Account > Delete RogerCare account. We'll ask you to confirm twice before anything happens, since this action is permanent and cannot be undone. Once confirmed, your account is removed immediately, and you'll see a confirmation once it's complete.
